User Roles in SARA

In the SARA app, you can configure your users to have specific user roles.

The user role will determine what data is visible to the users account.

Refer to the organisational chart below for the data structure of users in your licensee:

Tier 1: The AFSL 🕵️

The AFSL is the parent entity in the data structure.

Users who operate at the AFSL level, are called Compliance Managers. A Compliance Manager has full access to all data under the AFSL structure.

A Compliance Manager also has access to the SARA Settings. These settings can be used to configure customised compliance checks, which will be applied to all users under the AFSL banner.

Tier 2: The CAR (Corporate Authorised Rep)🚗

The CAR is the Corporate Authorised Representative (The Practice) that operates under the AFSL. An AFSL can have one, or more, CAR’s that operate under it’s licence.

Each CAR operates in silo’s and cannot access each other data for privacy.

Within each CAR is a list of users. These users can be assigned an Adviser, Paraplanner or Support Staff role.

A user cannot have multiple roles.

Tier 3: The Staff/Users

In SARA, advisers can only see their own file reviews. An adviser will not automatically be granted access to another advisers reviews, which are under the same CAR/Practice.

In addition, paraplanners and support staff are also not granted access to SARA reviews of the advisers. The only way a paraplanner or support staff can access a review, is to create the review on behalf of an adviser. If the paraplanner/support staff create the review, they are deemed as granted access to the data for that review.
